Easter 2012

Easter this year was very laid back and quite relaxing. We spent the weekend dying eggs with friends Saturday morning and then over to Mike's Dad's place for family celebrations. On Sunday we were out to brunch with my brother and family friends. Sunday evening we spent with family friends who have 7 kids that our kids love hanging out with. Even though we had snow flurries this morning, spring is still in full effect. I am in love with the colorful apple tree blossoms. We need to get one of those in our yard some day.

Valentine Treats

Mike made the 14th a special Valenine's Day for the kids (and me!)by bringing home cards and a lady bug and bumble bee filled with treats. The kids were pretty excited, to say the least. Faustina is at the age where these little gifts are her special little treasures that she doesn't forget. And she talks about it for the next many many days! Why is she wearing a swimming suit? Well, there really is no good answer for that, except that she is still changing clothes many times a day. She is all girl.

Thanksgiving, last week already?

Where did the last week go? Where did this month go?

We had a good Thanksgiving 2011. A relaxing weekend and there are no complaints about spending time with family, friends and eating good food!

And, of course, we all went to the Water Park on Friday and then headed over to Uncle Travis' afterwards for pizza. The kids enjoy the water park more and more each year.

4th in pics

We got up early and headed out west to the Minnetonka area with donuts in hand.

We spent the day with good family friends. They knew of July 4th festivities near Minnetonka - such a beautiful area. Faustina rode her bike and Jude was in his stroller for the parade march. Kim and I gawked at the amazing houses on the along the lake.

The kids enjoyed the popsicles they handed out.

While Faustina was with Michelle and Belle going around to the dozen different booths of games, we needed to relax in the shade because we were melting from the heat.

Jude was spinning around and running around so much he kept falling over. We dowsed him to cool him off a bit.

We headed over to Lake Minnetonka for lunch and the beach.

Jude loves the water, and his Dad.

Auntie Kim and Faustina worked on their sand castles.

And the playground was a hit.

Mike and Philippe got their work out on the kayak.

We headed home to rest for an hour or 2 and then headed over to West St. Paul for dinner and to see the fireworks downtown. Needless to say, everyone was very ready for bed when the day ended at almost 11:30pm!

Two Easter bunnies

Clearly, I am into videos lately. These two girls are pretty stinkin' cute if I do say so myself. They love hanging out with each other. Both these gals can hold their own on the tramp, and with their feisty personalities, I think they will be able to hold their own in about any situation!
